Dental x-ray imaging

1Q9A8969.JPG

2D dental x-ray image ( Panoramic)

allows us to make a general assessment of the condition of the teeth and jaws.

3D dental x-ray image ( CBCT scan )

reveals much more information about the anatomy and structural changes in the tissues. 3D imaging allows far more accurate treatment planning and prediction of the final outcome of therapy.

We will analyze the 3D image, present your dental condition to you in an understandable way, and then we will discuss the treatment plan.

Most common use of CBCT

In implantology, we determine the amount, dimensions and quality of the bone at the site where we plan to insert the implant.

We see the position of the tooth and adjucent structures when surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth near the mandibular nerve is to be done

To detect inflammatory processes (granulomas, cysts, etc.) that you may not yet feel, but are present.

To analyze the canal system in the root, which is especially important when re-treating or complex root canal treatment.

To diagnose problems in the sinuses and their possible connection with the teeth.

To provide high-quality 2D and 3D X-ray images, we use a modern dental imaging device - Planmeca Promax 3D. It allows us to obtain accurate images with a very low radiation dose and with various advanced functions.
